Terms of Use

These terms set out how HoopDay (the "Service") may be used. By using the Service you agree to them.

1. The Service

HoopDay is a place to post, find and join basketball practices and games, talk with other players and keep score. The operator does not host events and is not responsible for their content, how they are run, or dealings between users.

2. Accounts

• Register accurate information and keep your account secure.
• One account per person.
• You must be 13 or older.

3. Hosts

• Hosts follow the venue's rules (for example, no commercial use of public gyms) and describe events accurately.
• For events at public facilities, keep fees to shared costs such as the venue fee.
• Hosts look after participants' safety and should consider sports insurance where appropriate.

4. Fees and cancellations

• Participants pay any fee directly to the host in the way the event describes (cash on the day, PayPay, etc.). The operator does not receive or hold any money.
• A cancellation policy, if shown, is the host's guideline. Settle any fees between host and participant.

5. Posts and conversations

• You are responsible for what you post (events, chats, messages, profile).
• You can report or block users and content from the app. The operator reviews reports and removes content or suspends users that break these terms.
• There is no tolerance for harassment, discrimination, violence, sexual content or other objectionable content.

6. Prohibited

• Illegal acts, harassment, discrimination, abuse, impersonation
• Using the Service for dating, solicitation, sales or religious activities
• Fake events or unfair demands for money
• Interfering with the Service or unauthorized access

7. Injuries and accidents

You take part at your own risk. Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for injuries, accidents or disputes at venues or during activities.

8. Suspension, leaving and changes

• The operator may suspend users who break these terms.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
• Changes to these terms are announced in the app or on the website.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
